Reclaimed Borneo Ironwood door

Wood door texture smooth with handle. Best Ulin door option.

Borneo ironwood, locally referred to as Ulin, stands as an exceptional wood. Its remarkably slow growth, less than 0.5mm annually, results in a dense timber ideal for outdoor use.

Ulin heartwood boasts a Class 1 natural durability rating, both above and in-ground, prized for its innate resistance to decay, termites, rot, and weathering.

Traditionally employed by Kalimantan Dayak communities in house construction, bridges, roads, and more, Ulin is native to only select regions in Southeast Asia, primarily Borneo. These enduring trees can live for over a millennium.

Naturanexa's Ulin, recognized as the premier 100% recycled hardwood in the market, originates from disused Kalimantan structures such as houses, warehouses, bridges, roads, and jetties. This material yields exquisite and long-lasting building components.

Questions & Answers about door

What is a door?

  • At NaturanexA, a leading manufacturer of sustainable wood products, we define a door as a movable barrier that provides an opening between two rooms or spaces. Doors are typically made of wood, but can also be made of other materials such as metal, glass, or plastic. They are used to control access to different areas of a building, and can also provide privacy and security.

  • Doors come in a variety of sizes, styles, and materials, so you can choose the perfect door for your home or office. Consider the following factors when choosing a door:

    • Size: Make sure to measure the doorway opening carefully before purchasing a door. Doors are typically sold in standard sizes, but you can also have a custom door made.

    • Style: Doors come in a variety of styles, from traditional to modern. Choose a style that complements the décor of your home or office.

    • Material: Doors can be made of a variety of materials, including wood, metal, glass, and plastic. Choose a material that is durable and easy to maintain.

    • Purpose: Consider the purpose of the door when choosing a style and material. For example, a front door should be more durable and secure than a bedroom door.

    Types of doors:

  • There are many different types of doors available, including:

    • Interior doors: Interior doors are used to separate different rooms within a building. They come in a variety of styles and materials, and can be solid or have glass inserts.

    • Exterior doors: Exterior doors are used to protect the interior of a building from the elements. They are typically made of a durable material such as wood or metal, and have weatherstripping to keep out moisture and drafts.

    • Entry doors: Entry doors are the main doors to a building. They are typically more elaborate than other types of doors, and often have features such as decorative hardware and glass inserts.

    • Sliding doors: Sliding doors slide open and closed, rather than swinging open and closed. They are a good option for small spaces, as they do not require as much swing space as traditional doors.

    • French doors: French doors are a type of double door that opens outward. They are a popular choice for patios and decks, as they let in a lot of light and air.

    Benefits of using doors:

  • Doors offer a number of benefits, including:

    • Security: Doors help to protect the interior of a building from unwanted visitors.

    • Privacy: Doors provide privacy for the people inside a room.

    • Noise reduction: Doors can help to reduce noise between rooms.

    • Energy efficiency: Doors can help to keep a building cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

    • Aesthetics: Doors can add to the overall appearance of a building.
