Naturanexa's countertop range focuses on reclaimed Ulin, an Indonesian hardwood also commonly known as Borneo ironwood or Kayu Ulin.
What countertop thicknesses are available?
Current product options include 20 mm, custom thicknesses between approximately 20 and 40 mm, and substantial sections of 40 mm and above, subject to project requirements and reclaimed material availability.
Can hardwood countertops be made to custom dimensions?
Yes. Width and length can be prepared according to the dimensions required for the project. Send drawings or final measurements for review before production.
What edge profiles are available?
Square edges, eased edges and handmade live-edge treatments can be considered depending on the desired appearance and the reclaimed timber selected.
Is a reclaimed Ulin countertop the same as a butcher block?
Not necessarily. Naturanexa manufactures custom solid timber surfaces from reclaimed Ulin. They should not automatically be assumed to use traditional butcher-block construction unless that construction is specifically included in the project specification.
How should a hardwood countertop be sealed?
The finishing and sealing system should be selected according to the intended use of the surface. Kitchens, bars, bathrooms and other wet or food-related areas should have their finishing requirements identified before the final system is selected.
How should a hardwood countertop be cleaned and maintained?
Routine care should avoid prolonged standing water and harsh cleaning methods. The maintenance procedure should follow the recommendations of the specific finish or sealing system applied to the countertop.
Does the countertop price include cabinets, legs or installation?
No. A countertop refers to the timber surface itself unless additional components are specifically quoted. Cabinets, bases, legs, furniture construction and installation are separate scopes.
